when will I pop?

This seems to be a great topic for speculation. Doug's brother-in-law, Tom, seems to think it will be this coming weekend, January 8th or 9th, when my parents are here celebrating Christmas with us. Doug, himself, believes it will be sometime around the 15th of January. Obviously, no one but me believes the obstetrician and ultrasound technician who are measuring the baby and predicting the 24th or 25th of January, which is a couple days short of my birthday. I figure that no one but God knows, so I'm not going to try to predict, though the doctor can estimate. No matter what Doug says about a date, he wants the same thing that I do: for the baby to come when it is ready. Goodness knows, I'll never be truly ready. At least the crib and changing table are in place. I just need to wash the sheets and clothes in case I do get surprised before my due date. I suppose I should get on that just in case Tom is right. I certainly feel like I have no more room to expand! Does anybody else have a prediction?

Heather, of course you are right, no one can predict when you will pop. But I love to share my experiences. My first son was 2 weeks overdue! My second son was due Nov. 19 by the ultra sound we had taken. I told the Dr. it was physically impossible for me to carry him that long. And I was right! He came Oct. 30! 3 weeks early according to the ultra sound. One week early according to my charting. Listening to you and Doug talk about the upcoming arrival makes me so excited for you guys, and missing those days of pregnancy. My prediction would be whenever a good low pressure comes by or the next full moon, which would be the 25th. Good luck and keep me updated!!! Tasha

Yes, how correct that is...it is very rare that a baby comes on it's exact due date. My first one was 3 weeks early, second one was 1 week late, and the third and fourth ones were 3 months early!!!!!!fifth one was 2 weeks early and with the sixth one, we will just have to wait and see since she or he has not arrived yet :) Yes, we have a zoo too :) Congrats and remember you can never say I love you too much to your children and to each other. I am predicting January 10th.....for Heather.
