Jericho is home again

Jericho was in the hospital last night, but he was released this morning and got home a bit ago with Heather. His bilirubin level was high (not breaking down old red blood cells very efficiently) and that caused a bit of jaundice, but today it is much better. Basically, Jericho spent 24 hours under a special light and it helped his body to convert and eliminate the bilirubin, so he feels better today. Sometimes it takes a few days for a baby's biological systems to get going (obviously). Not sure that the hospitalization was necessary, but as a precaution and the fact that he is feeling better makes it worthwhile. Better to err on the side of caution when babies are this young, I guess.

Mom and Dad are coming up to visit today and staying until tomorrow. They will get a chance to meet Jericho. I do plan to fire up the camera and take some pictures of them with the boys. I think that Mom is stopping in Hutch on the way up here to pick up Josh. He will visit with us for an indeterminate period of time. Josh might go home this weekend, as his dad said he might stop in to visit this Friday or Saturday. Then again, Josh might stay another week. Gabriel loves having Josh around. Those two together are a riot.
