Super Bowl prediction

Okay, so all the 'experts' on football say that the Patriots are going to walk all over the Giants. I say that this is the match up of the titans of football. For once, I think that the teams are so well matched that this is going to be a great game! Face it. That is what 'a man named Brady' specializes in, giving a great show in the games that really matter. Statistical facts show that Super Bowls are NOT won by great offenses. Super Bowl games are won by strong defensive teams, although an occasional offensive touchdown is a bonus and of course, the traditionally-accepted scoring method for quarterbacks and their receivers. In this game, the offenses are fairly evenly matched, although Eli Manning is not nearly as confident as Mr. Brady, and lacks some of Brady's poise under pressure. These two teams are in the Super Bowl for a reason. These guys are the best. While the conventional wisdom has it that the Pats will run up the score and walk away with a victory, I think that is just following the crowd and succumbing to stereotyping and groupthink mentality. Giving credit where credit is due, the Patriots are a great team, maybe America's team for the 2000s. Ask Heather. I cheer for NFC teams. This is different. I really want the Pats to win this one for the ages! The Patriots could make history with the first 19-0 season ever, something I do not believe will be repeated again for decades, if ever. Despite the popular opinion, in this game, I just see it differently, despite my wishful thinking for the Pats to emerge victorious. This will be a history-making game. I feel it in my heart.

Here is my line: I will leave myself a tiny bit of wiggle room by not being too specific about scores. The Giants will win this game, by not more than three points.

Oh, what the hell. Let's be specific!!! My prediction - Giants 21, Patriots 20.
